What is a Private Membership Association?
A private membership association (PMA) is an organization or group that requires individuals to become members in order to access its benefits or services. PMAs are typically formed for purposes such as preserving privacy, asserting rights, or pursuing common interests, and they often operate under different legal frameworks or exemptions that provide certain protections and privileges to their members.
Membership with the Sacred Medicine Alliance
The SMA association upholds and exercises the fundamental rights of its members, including freedom of religion, free speech, petition, assembly, and the right to associate, as protected by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Canadian Bill of Rights, and the Constitution of the United States.
By joining the association, members commit to engage in private business affairs while respecting confidentiality and privacy. They are expected to adhere to the association’s principles and policies, with membership subject to termination if actions are deemed contrary to the association’s focus and betterment. Internal resolution processes handle grievances and complaints, and members agree not to pursue legal action against fellow members unless facing a clear and present danger. The association recognizes the rights of its members to choose therapies, treatments, and assistance that best suit their well-being, without censorship or restrictions. As members of a PMA, individuals collectively assert their rights to determine the devices, products, procedures, or services used for their health and have the freedom to determine which advice and counsel are most beneficial, independent of regulatory interference.
